Is she or isn't she??

The Cardani family may OR may not have exciting news!!

As most of you know, a few weeks ago Ruby and her chocolate lab boyfriend Smokey "got together" and ever since we've been looking for signs and wondering if Ruby might have some puppies on the way. Is she getting fatter because she is pregnant or because we have been feeding her more? Are we just imagining that she seems much more lazy and tired?

It has been very hard to tell but yesterday morning we got a much clearer sign that puppies may be on the way. Thanks mostly to our Auntie Joanne, we have LOTS of information about signs that a dog may be pregnant. She even printed us out a calender that says what signs of pregnancy Ruby may be showing during which dates. One of the signs during this time is that a dog may not show interest in her food and yesterday AND today when Dad went to feed the dogs, Ruby wanted NOTHING to do with her breakfast. This may not seem like much but if you knew Ruby you would know this is a BIG sign. Not once since we have had Ruby has there been a time she did not scarf down her food right when it was put in front of her.

So could this mean there are puppies on the way? We're thinking the signs are pointing towards YES! According to Ruby's vet and our calender we should be able to know for sure in a week or two and we are counting down the days!!
