Almost Time to Go Home!

On Tuesday our puppies turned 8 weeks old!! That means that they are almost ready to go home to their new families! But before they could we needed to take them to the vet for their 8 week check up and first round of vaccines. Tuesday morning we put 10 dogs into 2 kennels and drove up to the vet. It was quite an adventure getting them all there. They must have been scared because they didn't even squirm much when they were on the vet table. For the most part they sat still and let the vet check them out.

So now that they have gone to the vet they are pretty much ready to be going home and will be picked up by their new families this weekend! We are happy (since it has been so much work) and sad (since it has been so much fun and they are so cute) to see them go. One of our puppies, Miss White (now named Ruca) already went home to her forever home last night. Gary and Sharon's nephew Danny, who has helped us out a TON with these puppies, came to pick up his puppy Ruca and take her home. He said she had lots of fun all evening playing with her new friends (their 2 dogs Mateo and Molly). We were sad to see her go but she is coming back for a visit this weekend to meet Domenic when he comes home from Hawaii so we know we will be seeing her soon! More exciting news is that a couple more of our puppies have been given names! The Saich family (owners of the litter's Dad-Smokey) will be taking home Miss Orange who will be named Maddie and Mr. Sky Blue who will be named Scout. After all the puppies go home on Sunday we will post the families they all went home with and hopefully some pictures of them with their new families! So check back soon! We will be enjoying our last couple days with our puppies!
