Our First Bath and Daddy Smokey Visits

What a busy few weeks it has been with our puppies! We haven't even had any time to post of the blog because we have been so busy playing with, feeding, and cleaning up after the puppies. Now that Ruby doesn't do all the work like when they were little it has defaintely been more challenging for us!

And since they have gotten a lot more messy, this week they got VERY stinky so we decided it was time to clean them up a bit. We gave them their first bath in the kitchen sink. It was very clear that even though I am sure they like no longer being stinky, they did not enjoy the bath! They were very squirmy and tried to get out of the sink the whole time!

They also have gotten to spend a lot of time outside this week. They had their first experience in the dog pen that we have in our backyard. They love running around and playing with their toys and getting fresh air. Then when they get tired they all snuggle up together in the dog house. It is adorable!!

They are definately going to miss snuggling with each other when they go home in about a week. But we know they will also be very happy to be with their new families and will get lots of love and snuggles from them! Speaking of going home with their new families, we have another puppy who has been picked out and named! Miss Purple will be going home with the Miller family and is going to be named Sarah. She even got to play with her new family this morning when they came to visit and she definately enjoyed them!

Also this week the puppies got to meet their dad, Smokey, for the first time. He came to visit for a couple hours and even though they stayed in the dog pen, they got to get a look at him and he got to see them. Smokey and Ruby got to play together for a little while too! It was very cute.

This next Tuesday we are going to the vet for our 8 week shots and check up and soon after that our puppies will be going home. It will definately be bittersweet to see them go. We are definately ready since it has been exhausing the last couple weeks but we will still miss them. We are all happy they are going to loving homes though so we are excited for that! So check back soon for updates and for pictures of our puppies with their new families when they get picked up.
